PA of the Year
Nomination Deadline is December 1st
Nominees for PA of the Year should have a history of demonstrating exceptional service towards patients and/or the PA profession itself. Such PAs have gone beyond routine work in the practice or the hospital to increase patient’s access to care. In promoting the PA profession, the PA may be a leader in national, state or local organizations and institutes. The PA may have worked successfully with other healthcare providers to promote the PA as an integral member of the healthcare team.
Nominees for PA of the Year can self nominate, or can be nominated by PAs, PA students, physicians, patients, friends, family members, colleagues or coworkers.
Nominees for ASAPA’s PA of the Year award must meet the following criteria:
- Fellow or Active Member of ASAPA in good standing
- A resident of Arizona OR currently practicing as a PA in the state of Arizona, employed by the Federal Government and working at an Arizona facility, or employed as faculty at an Arizona PA program.
- Not a current member of the ASAPA Board of Directors, an Arizona House of Delegate representative, or an ASAPA Committee Chair

Physician/PA Partnership Award
Nomination Deadline is December 1st
Nominees for Physician/PA Partnership Award are 2 individuals that exemplify the unique relationship of trust, collegiality, and mutual respect that is essential to the PA profession. This physician-PA team displays evidence of collaboration that allows both the physician and the PA to provide greater medical service to their patients and their community than either one would be able to do alone.
Nominees for Physician/PA Partnership of the Year can self nominate, or can be nominated by PAs, PA students, physicians, patients, friends, family members, colleagues or coworkers.
Nominees for ASAPA’s Physician/PA Partnership of the Year award must meet the following criteria:
- Fellow or Active Member of ASAPA in good standing
- A resident of Arizona OR currently practicing as a PA in the state of Arizona, employed by the Federal Government and working at an Arizona facility, or employed as faculty at an Arizona PA program.
- Not a current member of the ASAPA Board of Directors, an Arizona House of Delegate representative, or an ASAPA Committee Chair
- Physician/PA team have worked together for a minimum of 1 year.

PA Student of the Year
Nomination Deadline is January 15th
Nominees for PA Student of the Year are students who have demonstrated excellent academic achievement while also participating in community service projects and/or activities that promote the PA profession. Each PA program in Arizona should nominate at least one student for the award. PA students should be in their second year of PA school.
Candidates for PA Student of the Year are nominated by PA program faculty only.
Nominees for ASAPA’s PA Student of the Year award must meet the following criteria:
- Student member of ASAPA in good standing
- Student member of AAPA in good standing
- Enrolled as a 2nd year PA student and in good standing at an Arizona PA program
